Owner of Tiger irons on eBay identified
 

Golf World has confirmed that Steve Mata, the former director of tour operations for Titleist, is the owner of the irons for sale on eBay and purported to have been used by Tiger Woods in achieving what has come to be known as the Tiger Slam in 2000 and 2001. Mata, however, is not the listing party.

The opening bid has been listed at $250,000.

Mata, in his position with Titleist, worked closely with Woods on his equipment. At the time, Woods was using Titleist clubs.
